Opening a window while in VT causes hyprland to black screen

It can be related to nvidia, because it does not happen on my laptop with intel's integrated graphics.
To reproduce run: sleep 3 && (kitty &) (any other window should work) and switch to VT, wait, return back, and the screen is fully black and unresponsive.
If you kill this kitty from VT hyprland unfreezes.
And if you kill it with hyprctl --instance 0 'dispatch exit' while it is in this state, it will crash. And if you kill it in a normal state it gracefully exits.
