Releasing mouse focus in a Parallels Virtual Machine causes an empty window to tile in

This isn't an issue on VMware, but I'd prefer to use Parallels as I think the graphics support is better? In VMware I have to set the following for anything to work properly.

env = WLR_NO_HARDWARE_CURSORS,1
env = WLR_RENDERER_ALLOW_SOFTWARE,1
env = WLR_RENDERER,pixman
env = __GLX_VENDOR_LIBRARY_NAME,mesa
env = LIBGL_ALWAYS_SOFTWARE,1

But in Parallels I don't need those, so my assumption is that Parallels supports some GPU capabilities where as VMware doesn't?

Ok, lol...never mind. It's like when you go to a restaurant and you're waiting for your food, but it only comes once you get up and go to the bathroom...

I just checked for Parallels updates after posting this, there is one, they mention a "driverless version of parallels tools" (not 100% sure what that means, tbh)

But after updating parallels and unsuspending my VM, it started to install the parallels tools automatically in the background!

And now the following is much improved

1. You don't have to release the mouse explicitly to get it to go out of the window (and when it does, the empty tiling window doesn't appear)
2. If you do manually release the mouse, the empty tiling window no longer appears, either.

So I guess, this is completely fixed. Fastest resolution ever?

Ok, it turns out that reinstalling the parallels tools was a red herring. That install ends up killing several processes, among them prlcp and without prlcp running, the ghost window doesn't appear. But if prlcp is running then the ghost window appears. It's pretty easy to reproduce with pkill prlcp then release the mouse and/or focus another app and there isn't a ghost window. Run it manually again in the background with prlcp & and releasing the mouse or focusing another app like finder will cause the ghost window to tile in and appear. Obviously it'd be ideal to retain clipboard synchronization. So hopefully this is something that can be fixed?

I'm not sure if it's helpful, but it's possible this is a similar issue vmware/open-vm-tools#549

@vaxerski sorry for the ping, just curious if you've had a chance to look at / think about this one at all? It's not a show stopper, per se, but it is pretty annoying if you're working between Parallels and macOS trying to read or paste things back and forth.
