I am on Hyprland 0.52.1, arch linux, on a framework 16.
When I am typing in an app, say firefox, openoffice, so far as I can tell, anything, if I am using the numpad, then type a single letter or symbol or anything from the main keyboard, and go back to the numpad, it no longer works. I have to turn off the numlock, then turn it back on, then it works, only until I have to press another keyboard key.
From what I can tell from my looking into it, this issue popped up around the time hyprland switched from wlroots maybe? and the issue seems to stem from split input devices, where pressing a keyboard key seems to make the app, or some layer between, associate the numlock state with the keyboard, and then doesnt move it back over to the numpad when the user switches back, or even better, keep it with the numpad in the first place.
There was an issue created about this #6886, as well as numerous discussions, so it seems to be relatively widespread, and i dont have the issue on the same device in windows, so I know its environment specific. If needed I could test more environment changes etc, but its the only real annoyance I have with this setup, and I would LOVE to see it resolved if possible. Heck, I will buy someone a usb numpad device so they can test.
