Disable resize animation on workspace change

I use waybar and since I have an oled display I toggle it quite often. When I hide it, for example, I see the resize animation for the other windows in the workspace, that's fine. When I change workspace (and waybar was previously visible on that workspace), I see the resize animation again also for that windows. It's like the resize is done lazily on the inactive workspaces. Can I disable this behavious/make the animation instant? I don't want to see the resize animation more than once.
