Using color picker in GIMP sets focus to main window #12478

I don't really view this as a fix more like a "this is completely broken and I need to use it so this at least lets me use it" workaround. This was not my solution someone came up with it in discord but I forget who. When the next update to hyprland comes out the rule will need to be changed as the syntax is different. So just for reference here is the same set of rules for the new syntax when that's out: |

Having this issue as well. With Hyprland 0.52.2-2 and GIMP 3.0.6-2 |

Can't repro on latest git. No window rules involved. Color picker detaches as expected, floats, and no cursor/focus probs. Plain old hardware cursor here, no hyprcursor. |

OK so after testing just to fully update this thread... Looks like this is caused by the misc:focus_on_activate setting. So either disable that setting globally and set window rules for apps you want to have it, or just disable that setting with a windowrule for the gimp: I'm using the gimp flatpak so if you aren't, replace org.gimp.Gimp with just gimp |

Hyprland 0.51.1
When interacting with color pickers in GIMP the mouse focus gets jostled back to the main window and the two fight for focus.
stayfocused on the color picker window does not alleviate the issue, not sure what other rules would be applicable.
