Cannot focus password field in hyprlock/swaylock after suspend

I am running into an issue where after waking my laptop from sleep I am unable to focus the field for inputting my password (in both hyprlock and swaylock). If I connect an external monitor to my laptop, I can move to the other monitor, than the one where the cursor is when it wakes up, and focus the field there. The problem is also persistent between uwsm and non-uwsm sessions. Lastly, when it comes to the focus setting I use

  follow_mouse = 1
  ...
}

A similar issue has been discussed in hyprlock issues but was not resolved.
