focuswindow focuses window group, instead of the window inside the group, when called through rofi

As mentioned in title, hyprctl dispatch focuswindow address:0x55e49549a1f0 focuses the window group. If the addressed window is not in front it does not come in from, and some other window which is in front of group get focus. Only when used in rofi. Below is the script used.

I am not able to replicate this by manually putting the command in terminal.
In case of manually putting it in terminal it works fine. But when running it through rofi, it focused window group.

Does anyone have suggestion what might be causing the issue?

Interestingly it works, if i prepend the hyprctl command with exec.
so exec hyprctl dispatch focuswindow address:${selected##*::-} > /dev/null works.
