What I think needs to happen, hyprland should handle a state where we have dpms off explicitly set, and yet one monitor with auto-sourcing sends a packet to GPU and GPU tells "hey, it's time to show display" (HPD signal), wm should just ignore it by default. I'd also consider a toggle but I strongly believe from product side we don't EVER want to just one monitor wake up while others are sleeping. Not unless you specify it.
