I know, I use reaper. If you click a few times it works. Xwayland compat is a pain. |

I just found out that, somehow, xwayland-satellite works great with REAPER. Just that you know. #!/usr/bin/env bash
# get a random display
display=$RANDOM
# start xwl satellite
xwayland-satellite :$display &
# wait till xwl satellite started
sleep 1
# start reaper
DISPLAY=:$display reaper
# kill xwl satellite after reaper closes
killall xwayland-satellite |

Reaper is a DAW and its built on x11 and it seems like the devs wont be porting to wayland anytime soon. the issues are the context menus are limiting their size to the previous pop out context menu. however clicking on the menu will cause it to not be weird its only when hovering over the menus. the other issue is that sliders and nobs cant be moved until you wait for the tooltip to show.
other wayland compositor like sway, kde and gnome dont have this issue. i understand this is a legacy app due to it being on xorg but its actively updated by the devs just not to wayland.
this was a bug reported before we moved to discussion for bug reports
video for reference. xeyes to show its running through xwayland
