Hyprpaper.conf required

It says in the hyprland docs page here that

The config file is located at ~/.config/hypr/hyprpaper.conf. It is not required.

Yet when i tried to run hyprpaper to test I got an error:

  what():  Could not find config in HOME, XDG_CONFIG_HOME, XDG_CONFIG_DIRS or /etc/hypr.

➜ joelyboy dev-setup (main) ✗

Solved it by adding a blank configuration file, as im managing reloading through a bash script. Is this just a docs update needed?

I had this issue too, you have to make the config yourself

Make a .conf here
.config/hypr/hyprpaper.conf

/// Go here ///
https://github.com/hyprwm/hyprpaper?tab=readme-ov-file#usage
Then paste the config into your hyprpaper.conf

Then in terminal run "hyprpaper -c .config/hypr/hyprpaper.conf
