Strange 'PledgePayment API is not available' error

Getting this strange error on iATS Payments Verification job

Finished execution of iATS Payments Verification with result: Failure, Error message: Found 4 contributions to verify.Completed with 1 errors.Processed 0 approvals, 0 pending and 1 rejection records from the previous 30 days.PledgePay (...) DetailsParameters parsed (and passed to API method): a:1:{s:7:"version";i:3;} Full message: Finished execution of iATS Payments Verification with result: Failure, Error message: Found 4 contributions to verify.Completed with 1 errors.Processed 0 approvals, 0 pending and 1 rejection records from the previous 30 days.PledgePayment API is not available because CiviPledge component is disabled

Strangely, CiviPledge component is disabled and NO pledge or pledge payments are present in the database.
Does this mean we have something buggy here /worth investigating?

Whoa! That's a new one! I'd guess you've found a weird side effect/bug from an api call that the extension is making.

The verification job is just trying to match up data from iATS that's been put into the extension's "journal" table, against civicrm contributions, and potentially complete payments (e.g. from ACH/EFT that get approved).

I have no idea why or how a PledgePayment api might get invoked, but if you match up your messages above to the code in here: https://github.com/iATSPayments/com.iatspayments.civicrm/blob/master/api/v3/Job/Iatsverify.php
you might find a likely place. Or there might be more details in your civicrm error log.

@adixon FYI - We encountered this on another one of our clients when we disabled CiviPledge for them. Before disabling we didn't get this error. I will put up more updates.

Cool! Love the obscure difficult to track bugs. What civi version is this? Could be it be connected to the enabling or not of the new civipledge extension? If you can get a full stacktrace (it might even be in your civi error log), it might give more clues.
