motor output mapping

Hello. I loaded the "Octo x8" mixer preset. However motor numbering does not tally what is shown on the picture. Is there a way to change the output mapping ? I assume that one must make sure that motor numbering / direction is consistent with the drawing to be able to fly ? Thanks.
