Thanks to the irobot ros2 documentation I was able to install a RO2 Create3 Development and Simulator environment on my PI4.
I used a FLIRC case for my RPI4, I wanted a heat sink.. The RPI4 is prone to throttling when running OpenCV stuff or anything complex.
The FLIRC case, USB speaker, and USB3.0 attached SSD all fit inside the payload section. In my create3_ws environment I have the create3 simulator, examples, a ros2_tts module that uses espeak, I built on the joystick teleop example by adding a usb_webcam and modified it to use my 8bitDo SN30 Pro+ joystick. I've been recording actions with ros2 bag...using the camera for teleop guidance.
I created scripts labeled according to each path target.. created a script for dock and undock as well. No I can undock, send the bot to th living room, bark like a dog, return to my hobby room, and dock. I
Now I need to add IR proximity detection for obstacle avoidance.
