Hi @mwr12138! yes, ProjectAirSim does support scenarios where both a drone and a ground robot can operate in the same environment.

You can refer to the existing hello_drone and hello_rover examples to understand the structure. To create a unified scene, you can define both agents in the same scene, ensuring each has its own vehicle name and starting pose.

@mwr12138 Thanks for pointing that out, the documentation needs to be corrected. You're absolutely right to be confused.

To clarify:

Project AirSim does support car/rover simulation officially. No support for unmanned vessel yet.

The reference to PhysXCar and ArduRover in the docs/transition_from_airsim.md file is right.

That said, support for additional autonomous vehicle types is on our roadmap, and we absolutely welcome community contributions in that direction.

@Tartistbz I’d advise against using that older solution, I’ve tried it in the past, and it breaks during packaging. It was an experimental approach that needed further development. Project AirSim’s architecture offers a cleaner and more robust foundation to build on.
