Possible to save and restore windows at custom positions?

I see that there a various layouts in the program. I'm however interested in just recording all window positions and recall those positions at a later time (preferably on multiple screens). Is this possible?

You may be able to do this with a custom layout. Set commands for saving and restoring, and use state to track the window frames.
