Toggle float for focused window

I used the shortcut to toggle float for focused window, thinking that when I didn't want that widow to float I could just toggle it back to a static window. In playing around I managed to float all the windows in my layout - main and three right side windows. However, when I tried to toggle everything back to the static positions nothing happened. I tried everything I could think of doing - disable, reset layouts, relaunch amethyst, and quit. I closed all the windows and quit amethyst, all to no avail. The only thing I haven't done is uninstall/reinstall. I have looked through the web but haven't found an answer. What am I missing?
