Chrome menus and extension popups disapearing

I used Amethyst for a year and really enjoyed it but I recently switch away to another window manager (Aerospace) due to one issue that kept persisting. I just wanted to report the problem I had to see if anybody else had the problem. I guess I should have reported before switching away, but I still think discussing now could be helpful.

The problem was that menus would disappear often. My biggest problem was with the Chrome browser but this also happened with menus in Finder and maybe some other apps (?) but those two are the ones that nagged me the most. The behaviour was that I could get the menu to open but then if I used my mouse to hover over the menu and select the menu item the menu would disappear. This problem also impacted my Chrome extensions - for example my password manager (Bitwarden) and my TOTP authenticator extension. I would click on the menu or the extension button and the popout would show and if I used my keyboard I could navigate and select the menu item I desired... but the moment I tried to move my mouse cursor over the menu it would go away. With Finder it was the same thing, I would right click and the context menu would appear and I could use my keyboard to navigate through the menu items, but as soon as I started moving my mouse over the menu it would go away.

This problem wasn't constant, meaning sometimes it would go away and everything worked just fine! But then for a week at a time I would have this issue. It was so aggravating. I would try to relaunch Chrome/Finder and that never resolved. I even relaunched Amethyst and that didn't solve the issue. I don't recall if rebooting the machine helped or not, although I don't often restart my entire computer. I was quite happy with Amethyst as my window manager and only considered moving to Aerospace after getting fed up with this bug. Like I said I wish I had have reported my problem earlier but I suppose better late than never.
