Is it possible to differentiate between left and right mod keys?

I'm about to start trying out Amethyst, but what I'd really like is to be able to set the mod keys to only use the ones to the right of the spacebar; that would allow me to use the ones on the left for all my existing keyboard shortcuts without having to remap them (or try and find non-conflicting settings for Amethyst).

Karabiner-Elements can distinguish between them, but I haven't managed to find anything that suggests Amethyst allows this — the configuration docs just says "A mod is a list of keyboard modifiers. Namely, option, control, shift, and command."

Is it possible to configure it this way?
