IAR Build extension: IntelliSense config fails with exit code 2 (no config generated)

Hi,

I'm using the IAR Build extension in VS Code with an embedded project. The IntelliSense configuration fails with the following errors:

• Intellisense configuration did not complete: Process exited with code: 2
• No intellisense configurations were generated

Environment:

• IAR Embedded Workbench for ARM: 8.11.2.13606
• OS: Windows 10

No IntelliSense features (completion, go-to-definition) work because no configuration file is generated. Could you help resolve this?

Hi! Sorry for the late reply.

We need some more information to know what is going wrong. If you go to VS Code's Output tab (Ctrl+Shift+U), in the dropdown in the top right there should be an entry called 'IAR Config Generator'. Clicking it should give show the output from iarbuild and hopefully an error message. Could you post the output here?
