You can edit existing metrics in the Advanced mode. You cannot edit measures or add measures to the metric definition of an existing metric. You need to create a new metric to add more measures or change measures. {: #shortdesc}
Open your semantic data model from the Data and Metrics tab and then follow these steps:

Click Advanced mode on the Metrics overview page to go to the semantic data model view.

Click the menu icon next to the metric definition that you want to edit and select Edit metric definition.

Change the metric definition and click Done.

Save your semantic data model.

Click the menu icon next to the metric that you edited and select Export metric definition to export the changes to the project.
The edited metric definition exports to the project and updates the existing metric.
