Delete old files while keeping files in sync?

What happens if i enable --auto-delete and then also set --delete-after-download to let say 365. Will auto-delete then delete my local copies as --delete-after-download deletes them from icloud? If so, is there any way around it?

You can use --dry-run to learn. They are not compatible with each other.

Let me try to understand use case better. You want to keep icloud storage under control by removing old assets that have been already downloaded locally. In addition, any deletion in the icloud (for the set that is left) you want to replicate into local storage (==delete locally).

I am assuming you will be using --keep-icloud-recent-days parameter, not --delete-after-download.

Stumbled over this today, as I am trying to keep my families iCloud below 200GB. I am so to say "archiving" old assets with --keep-icloud-recent-days parameter. In this case the trash could be skipped (or "directly removed" from trash after deleting).
On the other hand I want to have assets deleted that are manually put to icloud trash by me. This is mostly crap (bad photos, screenshots) that I also do not want in my archive.
@AndreyNikiforov, as you replied, is there any news on this?
