Where can I post questions when having an issue? #1292

I have the same query about proper protocol for posting a general question, not necessarily to report a possible bug, nor to request a feature enhancement. My query is around downloading photos that have been 'duplicated' and/or modified within the Photos app. I've done my initial download of all the photos, but I was testing what happens when a photo is 'duplicated' in the Photos app as well as what happens if a photo is edited. When I duplicate the photo, it has the same EXIF information, though I have no idea if it has a different filename within iCloud ... I would assume it does, but not knowing the architecture of how the Photos db works, I don't want to assume that. I've ensured that the changes have been uploaded to iCloud: I make the changes in the Photos app on my MacBook Air, and then verify on my iPad that the changes are reflected in the Photos app there. I've used several options: Yet none of these download any new files that would be versions of the original file that was downloaded during the initial sync. |

Is there a user forum where I can post questions?
For initial question would be why am I receiving a message saying "Cannot connect to Apple iCloud service"?
I use the following command in Windows 11 and I get a listing of 10 files:
icloudpd.exe -d c:\photos --only-print-filenames --recent 10 --folder-structure "{:%Y/%m}" -u [username]
When I remove the --only-print-filenames, I get the error.
icloudpd.exe -d c:\photos --recent 10 --folder-structure "{:%Y/%m}" -u [username]
