Downloading large Library

Hi,

I have a large photo library (about 1 TB / 450,000 images) and I’d like to download all of them. Since icloudpd occasionally stops with an cannot connect error, I built a script with a loop that uses the --skip-created-after option to skip the first few day/month/years. By now, it takes almost two hours before it reaches the point(eg 40%) where it starts downloading again. Is there any way to speed this up, or can I make the program start checking and downloading from the end instead?

hmm... almost 75% done ... but no solution for the cannot connect error... 3h crawling through library downloading 50 files ... connection error... and start again.
