Reason
I created several tests for the novel BaselineCorrection function object as part of my PR: #319. I created them mostly for documentation and demonstration purposes, however, they need not all be TestHarness objects as this would unnecessarily slow the unit test process down.
I've also verified my code against the baseline correction tools available from Seismosoft's Seismosignal, as well as Abaqus. And I ought to provide a V&V page write-up on this for quality assurance purposes.
Lastly, I think a newsletter announcement is in order for this new MASTODON capability.
Design
I will migrate the redundant unit tests to an example set and create the docs page to go along with them. I will also provided the input files which invoked the BaselineCorrection object that produced matching results with those produced by Seismosignal and Abaqus, and write the documentation for this verification. Following all of this, I will write a news blurb about the release of this feature.
Impact
This will exhaust the documentation necessary for the BaselineCorrection class. However, a PR for the proposed work is pending the merging of the source code via #319. I am opening this ticket now to be clear about my intentions.
