Build Issue: Error with 'make' after new update #20691

Hi, I am getting errors trying to 'make' MOOSE after the recent update. I went through all the steps on these pages: https://mooseframework.inl.gov/getting_started/installation/conda.html https://mooseframework.inl.gov/help/troubleshooting.html#buildissues I even reinstalled the conda environment. The hello world example executed fine and I cannot figure out what the problem is. I am using Arch Linux and basically everything is up to date. I have pasted below the output from running 'make -j 8' in ~/projects/moose/test. Thanks, |

You do/should not need to update to 3.17.0 Please take a look of #20755 on this topic |

I need to jump back on this... I got seriously side-tracked these last few weeks. [Edit]: posted a bit too soon.. What I've found thus far is that both Arch and Ubuntu seem to run into issues when building However our CI says otherwise. So I am a bit at a loss. |

It is very likely there is a MPI lib issue. suerlu lost the link flag "-lmpicxx" when using mpif90 |

We need to resolve the actual issue instead of jumping to a new PETSc. We do not officially support 3.17 yet. |
