Simple Axis-symmetric heat diffusion problem

Hi,

I am solving a very simple, 2D, axis-symmetric heat diffusion problem. Please see attached the set up file. The problem has a constant heat transfer coefficient defined on all boundaries except the axis. The solution has an analytical solution, and the MOOSE results are not even close to the analytical result. Can anyone tell me if something is wrong with the problem setup?

Hello

I see you have boundary conditons on 'left', 'right' and 'bottom but that is not consistent with heat transfer coefficient defined on all boundaries except the axis.

The RZ axis is 'left', the Y axis, by default.
There is a parameter in the Mesh block to change it to X if you prefer

Hi, Thank you for the reply. I forgot to update it in the file. I was actually testing if I made a mistake and I tried every boundary as an axis. The results do not change if I change the "left" to "right".

That would not be the correct change here. You would need to move this BC from left to top
or use X as the RZ_coord_axis and move the boundary to 'top'

Ooops, sorry again. Yes, I made the same change. I changed "left" to "top". It did not change the results.

can you use a ParsedAux and a new auxiliary variable as the analytical solution and re-post the input?
I ll play with the BCs see if I can get agreement
