New simulation Code

Hi everyone,

I wanted to make new code for multiple injection-production cycles. I checked moose website and research papers that this work is not done previously. Can anyone confirm that this work has not been done previously?

I think multiple cycles might just mean a longer time history? With functions to describe the injection production profiles over multiple cycles?

Can you kindly share the work because I couldn't find that.

No multiple cycles means lets say if you inject gas and then produce after 6 months. This is one cycle. If you do 10 cycles with consecutive injections and production, multiple properties like gas recovery changes because of this.

I am currently working on THM coupling for gas injection and production cycles at pore-scale (OpenPNM) and Reservoir-Scale (CMG-GEM).

I wanted to do similar work using moose. Do you know on what similar topic i can do simulation which I can also publish on moose website. Thanks for your help.

I have been working on coupling THM and the porous flow module for geological hydrogen recovery. I use THM to make the 1D injection and production wells, and then I couple to 2D/3D porous flow in the fracture.

I don't understand the points you are making about the multiple cycles. Like @GiudGiud , I thought you would do this by having a time-dependent inlet condition that does your various cycles. Are you saying this would be modeled some other way?
