Dial emergency number

If the app detects that the user is in an emergency, it should also try calling the emergency number, such as 112 or 911 (depending on the country). This would make the app even more useful.

I think some countries also support email based emergency in which case app should also send a email explaining what happened

Thanks a lot for the suggestion!! I will give it a shot.

My concern, if we do this automatically and it's a false-positive, I don't want to get people in trouble.

I'll find a way to work-around that though. Maybe if the siren is active for X minutes, it escalates to Emergency Number (if available).

That sounds like a great thing to add with #23
