The partial that defines the content of the footer is located at /layouts/partials/footer.html. Are you familiar with modifying layouts for your site? Basically you just copy the footer.html file into the equivalent directory in your site and hugo will build with your layout instead of the default hextra layout.

Take a look at the footer.html layout and see what you might want to change. It's written in html, with Go script enclosed in {{ curly braces }}
