Migrate to WG?

/agenda I believe we intend to move this to the WG pending a CFP; but we appear to only have one editor listed.

I can't make the call tomorrow, but it's great to hear movement on this (which will hopefully allow it to move out from behind the flag in Chrome on Android phones).

Our library's world tracking API is modelled on ARKit and ARCore and uses plane detection as the primary mechanism - I generally prefer allowing user code to do the raycasting against the geometry whenever it likes rather than needing to modify hit tests and wait for the next frame for results.

Right now the WebXR implementation of our API uses a hit test and then returns a fake plane around the hit test result which gets things working but is far from ideal.

@AdaRoseCannon What's the status of this? I feel like I saw the CFP at the start of December, but I'm not sure what the timeline needs to be for this.

CFP is done, it's in the WG, I sent an email about it. (At least I hope it sent, no one replied, but that is not uncommon)

What are next steps for the spec to be migrated here? Apart from updating the index to the WG styles do we need to publish anything from the W3 side?
