[Bug]: PWA apps "installed" under Helium no longer treated as apps in plasma #960

Description

Operating system

Linux

Version

Version 0.9.2.1 (Official Build, Chromium 145.0.7632.75) Arch Linux (64-bit)

Have you tested that this is not an upstream issue or an issue with your configuration?

  • I have tried reproducing this issue in Chrome and it could not be reproduced there
  • I have tried reproducing this issue in ungoogled-chromium and it could not be reproduced there
  • I have tried reproducing this issue in Helium with a new and empty profile using --user-data-dir command line argument and it could not be reproduced there

Description

PWA apps installed no longer show their own icon or show up in "helium apps" submenu in plasm

How to Reproduce?

  1. go to site with pwa
  2. Cast, save, share... > Install

Actual behavior

window opens with the correct (lack of) window decorations for an app but it's still grouped in teh helium window list , the site icon doesn't show in alt-tabbing and where these apps used to be added to the "Helium Apps" section of the kde menu, that is no longer the case.

Apps created under previous helium are still there but they exhibit the same symptoms and/or don't launch (sorry for the uncertain details, I tried deleting an recreating them to test and now there aren't any)

Expected behavior

PWA should behave like apps with independent windows to make it easy to find them without wading through all the helium pages I have open
