Author linking

With bib, we can enter a TYPO3 page id into the URL field of an Author record, and bib would then add an <a>-tag to the name of each author, linking to their corresponding page.

I see that publications also does have an URL field in its author records where the IDs get migrated to. But author names are not linked. Am I missing something or is author linking not (yet) a feature of publications?
