  1. Where does the data come from?
We monitor anticipatory flood warnings at the measuring stations registered on GLOFAS. When a high probability event is registered, we extract the closest relevant return period data from the 1:20, 1:50 and 1:100 flood models from https://data.jrc.ec.europa.eu/collection/id-0054 is used to perform an overlay analysis using OpenStreetMap (https://osm.org) administrative areas, buildings, and roads. For population data we use national census data (when available) and WorldPop (https://www.worldpop.org).
