There are plans to use an external service to provide mailing lists functionality for JACoW conferences. However, Indico does not support any such integrations.
Solution
Display the mailing list preferences in the user's dashboard, with information coming from the provider's API. Additionally, display these fields in the conferences' registration forms to make it easier for people to sign up.
