There is the guide on the offline token mode, but you have to have a running influxdb container to be able to create the token offline anyway ... the whole process seems to be arse about face if I am being honest. |

So ... the new version 3 access token creation mechanism.
What a faff.
We have to ping the Influx DB container to create a token.
The response is not formatted in an easily accessible output, example:
So we have to extract the token from the container, in a cumbersome way, and then pass it back to the env, and recreate other containers ...
Surely there is a better way ? version 2 was so easy to use ... but v3 I have found to be a pain.
Can we not setup a username and password via the env and be done with it?
Can anyone advise if there are any GitHub actions or simpler processes to get the token out of a container by token name?
Any help to how anyone has solved this glaring issue in the past would be amazing 🙏
