Context:
For metadata provenance workflows, it would be very helpful if excitation and emission wavelengths were explicitly recorded in the metadata. Currently, we can retrieve this information from the factsheets, but having it stored explicitly in the metadata would streamline data handling and improve traceability.
Challenge:
Right now, we only have metadata examples for the nVista1P microscope (listed as nVista3 in metadata), so we’re unsure how get_acquisition_info['MicroscopeType'] appears for other supported hardware. This limits our ability to generalize processing across datasets.
Request:
Could you consider updating the metadata schema to include explicit fields for excitation and emission wavelengths? Also, if possible, please share examples of get_acquisition_info['MicroscopeType'] values for all supported microscope models to help us support broader hardware configurations.
Thanks!
