Clear and concise description of the problem

I'm trying to work with LaTeX formula, I have to escape every special chars of the string which make it basically unreadable in the translation file. A way to completely ignore special chars could be nice

In v12, we have introduced escape sequence support (#2394), which allows you to escape special characters with a backslash prefix:

For a LaTeX formula like \frac{a}{b}, you can write:

}

We understand this is still verbose for heavy LaTeX content. For such cases, we recommend keeping the LaTeX formula outside of the translation message and passing it as a variable:

This way, the LaTeX string is never parsed by the message compiler.

Regarding a "raw string" mode that completely disables parsing for an entire message — this would be difficult to implement because it would also disable interpolation ({variable}), which is typically needed alongside the raw text. We'll consider this if there is more demand, but for now the escape sequences and the variable approach should cover most use cases.

We also plan to backport the escape sequence feature to v11.
