Thank you for your interest in contributing to InVesalius. Currently, we are interested in exploring other methods for generating 3D surfaces, such as Dual Contouring. We also have several small tools and improvements that we would like to implement, such as: #500, #11 and #95 |

Hi @paulojamorim and everyone!
My name is Maanav, and I’m excited to be exploring the InVesalius project as part of my preparation for Google Summer of Code. I’m a recent computer science graduate from the University of Manchester with a focus on machine learning and computer vision, and I’m really interested in open-source software that has real-world impact, especially in areas like medical imaging.
Recently, I’ve been getting familiar with the InVesalius codebase and the overall project structure. While setting up the environment, I also noticed a small issue (#1226) in the installation documentation and opened an issue on the repository to report it. I’m hoping it might help make the setup process a bit smoother for future contributors.
I’m looking forward to continuing to explore the project, learning more about the architecture, and hopefully contributing improvements along the way. The project looks incredibly interesting and impactful, and I’m excited to be part of the community.
I’d also be interested to hear what areas of the project the team is currently most excited about or focusing on.
Thanks, and I’m looking forward to collaborating with everyone!
~Maanav
