Hi @laurabrenskelle. You've found our regrettably out-of-date Catalog docs! We've been in the process of very slowly migrating off of the Harvest Registry entirely (even since the most recent Catalog release in 2021 actually - https://ioos.github.io/catalog/pages/releases/ actually).

The plan was/is to replace the Registry with user accounts to manage harvest sources directly in the IOOS Catalog/CKAN itself.

The good news is that Catalog is finally at the point where we can start to do this.

I'd like to propose you be our first test user for this new workflow, and, ideally, you could document the process you need to follow as a CKAN user to create a new harvest source in order to update the relevant sections of documentation in GH Pages (https://github.com/ioos/catalog/tree/gh-pages).

There are a few steps that a CKAN admin user like myself needs to do to create your account, but I don't think that needs to go in the docs, mostly what a new user needs to do to add, update, or delete a harvest source.

Happy to discuss sometime. For now, I'll try creating an account for you to work with.
