Hi, I'm quite interested in this project.

I saw your were looking to integrate MyST as an input option.
May I ask wether it was the myst-parser version or the mystmd version that you had in mind?

After looking into MyST, I've since decided not to support it for now. The remark ecosystem is very opinionated in a way that is not conducive to this side project of mine. The remark AST is also less rich than the Djot AST in some important ways, like where you can specify anchors.

No problem at all! I really do think MyST is a great language, it's just not quite easy enough to plug in with the time allocation I can give to this project.

That's perfectly reasonable.
The language is also a bit early in its life, and from what i hear, still has a bit of road ahead to fully stabilize the spec on JS vs. Python.
So, trying to implement it right now might do more headaches than good. ^^
