You can usually try to resolve synchronization errors by right-clicking on the affected item or its parent folder and choosing
You can try to remove the affected items from the cache by following the steps for cancelling a download in progress on our wiki page. If this doesn't resolve the listing and synchronization error issue, you'll have to clear the whole cache. There are two ways to clear the cache:
I would recommend keeping the current cache and bookmark until you are sure that all needed files are there, as you can't recover pending items (not synchronized yet or synchronization error) once the cache is deleted.
We don't have a list of synchronization errors available. As previously mentioned, you can generally attempt to resolve synchronization errors by choosing "Retry" from the context menu. Most synchronization errors can be resolved this way.
Mountain Duck should move the cloud file as long as you move files within the same mount. Mountain Duck typically has to download the items if you move files from one server to another or from the remote server to a local destination. Please send us the logging output with activated debug logging to [email protected] for further investigation if the items get downloaded and re-uploaded while moving files within the same mount. |

I wanted to consolidate versions of a folder in two different locations on Dropbox I moved a couple of large subfolders on my laptop, which was taking a long time, so I moved the last subfolder from the Dropbox web portal. I waited for Dropbox to finish syncing, but now the my local drive and the cloud are out of sync. The copy of the folder I was moving away from has been deleted online but exists on my local disk, and I'm unable to move it locally because the files cannot be found on Dropbox.
tl:dr The problem is this: the folders are where I want them online, but I am unable to force the local copy to match. I've tried disconnecting and reconnecting, deleting local copies, and restarting Mountain Duck, but the sync errors remain.
I suspect I will need to delete the bookmark entirely and reconnect from scratch.
