immich is an awesome piece of software to manage your photo collection, a self hosted alternative to google photos and the like. Being able to show your photos in POIs would be nice

I 2nd this! I am planning a rather large vacation overseas and using Trip to plan it is awesome, but as we travel, I want to have myself and my family members be able to sync our photos from our phones to my self-hosted Immich server and display the photos with lat/long coordinates in Trip.

As a Immich user, Immich has this feature on the map? What would be the plus of displaying it also in TRIP?

I would argue yes, assuming you can connect multiple Immich images to an activity/place in Trip, which means you get a photo album for each activity/place semi-automatically. Then you can keep one or more larger albums in Immich, and then only see the relevant images in Trip for that specific place.
