running the appimage with -bigpicture doesnt start it in big picture

im carefully integrating steam into bactora linux even though steam updates made it broken to it but this is the only version of steam i found that worked on it. right now i just need bigpicture mode

I just ran /path/to/appimage -bigpicture and it worked.

Please tell us more about your system, your configuration... is this the first time you run it? If not, it would some settings gone wrong.

Also running the AppImage from terminal would tell more about the error.

yea maybe ill try terminal and ill get back to you. i have it integrated as a system with a launch command that right now and the flag attached is -bigpicture. also sorry for the late response

hm interesting. no errors. im running in a VM and i did -bigpicture and nothing different happened then a normal steam launch.

Wait is it perhaps because im using the DIM_ALLOW_ROOT enviroment variable? batocera's user is always root
