Android Billing 8 - Plans to update?

Are there plans to upgrade to Android Billing 8 this year?

I'm just curious, since Android Billing 8 is out now, and Android Billing 6 is getting discontinued next month. Since the plugin is not at risk due to supporting Android Billing 7 I'm just wondering if there is a plan to update to 8 this year or wait for 9 next year.

If there are any plans to upgrade the plugin please let me know. It would be greatly appreciated.

From a user perspective, I'd personally suggest keeping these low-level sensitive codes stable—most bugs are caused by changes. If v7 works fine, it's probably best to stick with it. But yeah, I'm also curious how the official team plans to support v8?
