The stakeholder approved specification scope currently does not include a RAG/Vector DB API. However, this could be considered in the future. The best approach is likely a distinct sub-component to start with, in a separate specification that covers LLMs more broadly than our current minimalist LLM facade. It's also an open question how RAG will relate to MCP longer term.
