Search error!! (ComicVine)

Describe the bug/problem

When I try to search a comic using only comicvine as the metadata provider, I sometimes get results for a while and sometimes I will just get Search error!!.

I wonder if this due to rate limiting from comicvine. Is there an option to provide my own api key for comicvine?

I'm not sure if it's an issue with all metadata providers:

The only one working for me was Google Scholar right now.

Same. I don't think those ever work for me. ComicVine is sporadic for me.

My change is meant to address an issue I was seeing in the searches that was highlighted to me by the chinese language provider, but the same fix was applied to Comicvine.

That said, looking at the code, comicvine is built using a shared api key here.

The 420 errors are partly from the API key being shared across all installations. PR #3635 adds a configurable key field so users can use their own.
