Hi,
it would be great if you could use the version as release tag. This would help users and distributors like Debian to know what is considered of production quality in contrast to some random Git commit. In the Debian watch file you once was asking about a way to watch git repositories. Its perfectly in your own hand by adding release tags. ;-)
Meanwhile I was pointing the watch file to the latest commit in this commit. That's just a workaround.

PS: I moved the packaging to Debian Multimedia team since the Git repository mentioned in Vcs fields did not worked any more. I'll file an ITS bug about this soon.
