preview-tui: command too long inside tmux

terminal: st 0.9.2
nnn environment: export NNN_OPTS="adDr"
The plugin preview-tui works on normal st (terminal) window, But inside tmux i got command too long.
Help appreciated.

tmux spawns nnn which in turn spawns the script.

I have Xubuntu on AMD Ryzen 7 5700U with Radeon Graphics and I don't see much of a lag but on older systems this could be significant. Other things that can be compositing and things.

Not sure what can be done here.

I'm not sure, but going through different version of nnn preview-tui (v4.7, v4.8, v5.1) i see that on 4.7 in 'tmux split-window -e' command "PATH=$PATH" and "$PWD" variable is not used, so commenting out those two variable on line 122 and 123 (actually commenting only $PATH variable on line 123) from nnn-v5.1 prview-tui fixes the problem. Since i'm not using scope or pistol it's not a problem for me but may cause for someone who depends on those, i guess. Anyway, for me it's solved.

How large is your PATH variable? Can you show the output of this:

$ env | grep '^PATH='

I suspect you maybe setting PATH in your .bashrc or similar (instead of shell profile) which is causing it to balloon up.

Got it! I'd a very bad $PATH setup of pyenv which pile up with all the binary on ~/.local/bin . Thanks.
