Introduction: Aspiring Contributor Seeking Guidance for GSoC 2025 Participation

Hello JAX Community,

My name is Xinyu Zhang, a junior at the University of Michigan, majoring in Mathematical Science with a minor in Electrical Engineering. I have a strong interest in machine learning, particularly in deep learning, and I am eager to begin contributing to the JAX project.

My experience includes working with frameworks such as Keras and TensorFlow, and I am familiar with models like Dense, CNNs, RNNs, LeNet, and LSTMs. While I have limited experience with large language models, I am a quick learner and enthusiastic about expanding my knowledge in this area.

I plan to start by addressing beginner-friendly issues to familiarize myself with the codebase and identify areas where I can contribute effectively. I am committed to solving problems independently but would greatly appreciate guidance and assistance from the community when needed.
