[BUG] Program crashes when uploading sprite style

Describe the bug
Just purchased Top Down Sprite Maker v1.3.0 today for Windows 11. When I click "Upload A Sprite Style Archive" button, the program either immediately crashes, or the program files menu opens for a brief second and then immediately disappears (program also freezes immediately after).

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

1. Open brand new version Top Down Sprite Maker v1.3.0
2. Click the "+" on the top right corner.
3. Issue occurs.

Expected behavior
Would love some advice to fix this bug. Is it something in my system settings that I need to change?

Update: Just tried uninstalling and reinstalling. Unfortunately that didn't fix the issue. Using the "repair" feature in the install did not fix the issue either.

Hi, thanks for reporting this.

When I attempted to troubleshoot this for the user that initially reported it on Itch.io, I was unable to conclusively identify what was causing the bug. I can forward you that email exchange if you like.

I have a couple of questions:

1. Can you determine in the brief split second that the dialog opens which directory it is initially opening?
2. Is it a OneDrive directory / do you have OneDrive enabled on your device?

1. Not sure what directory it tries to open. It happens really fast, which you can see in the attached video.
2. I do have a OneDrive directory enabled on my device, though the file itself is in my Program Files on my computer. Would it help if I try unlinking my OneDrive?

Hmm, I see.

The previous user to report this wasn't able to get it to work after unlinking OneDrive, but I'm still confident that OneDrive is at least partially responsible for this behaviour. The program should initially attempt to open your Documents folder, which I believe in your case is a OneDrive folder as opposed to a true local folder.

TDSM uses Java Native Access to attempt to display native open file dialogs for each of the operating systems that the program is distributed for. OneDrive may interfere with this.

Logged out of my One Drive, and unfortunately the issue is the same.
